The final of five straight home games will be played Saturday against a surprising Indiana team.. This week is homecoming and everyone is looking for a fifth straight victory.

Overview

Like Penn State, Indiana is dealing with a ton of injuries. Starting QB Nate Sudfled and starting running back Jordan Howard are both questionable for the game. The Hoosiers are coming off the most devastating loss in program history after losing 34-27 to Ohio State in the last minutes. For the Lions, Brandon Bell will be out again, but Saquon Barkley may play.

Last Thoughts

This one can play out one of two ways, Hackenberg and the offense can take advantage of Indiana’s poor pass defense( giving up 327 yards per game) or they can continue to be mediocre. If Saquon does play, Penn State could have a big game, Ezekiel Elliot ran for 275 yards last week against this Hoosiers D. The bigger question will be with the defense. If the offense can give the D enough of a rest, they should be able to keep up with Indiana’s explosive running game. I believe that Penn State will pull this one out for a few reasons:

1. The game is at home

2. The offense looks to have improved

3. If Barkley plays, we’ll be just fine

Coach Franklin was angry with the way the offense performed last week, hopefully they take more shots down the field on Saturday.

Prediction: Penn State 31 Indiana 21
