The AP and USA Today Coaches Poll are now out, and you read the headline right. Michigan is not on either. But they did make one poll – as predicted here at the BBC, Michigan is on ESPN’s “Bottom 10”. Ironically, they made it in at #5. Notre Dame also made the Bottom 10, coming in at 10th.
Say it with me…..”unranked Michigan”.
USA Today Poll listed first, then AP Poll
1. USC – USC
2. LSU – LSU
3. Florida – West Virginia
4. West Virginia – Florida
5. Wisconsin – Oklahoma/Wisconsin (tie)
6. Oklahoma
7. Texas – Texas
8. Louisville – Louisville
9. Virginia Tech – Virginia Tech
10. California – California
11. Ohio State – Georgia
12. Georgia – Ohio State
13. Auburn – UCLA
14. UCLA – Penn State
15. Penn State – Rutgers
16. Rutgers – Nebraska
17. Nebraska – Auburn
18. Arkansas – Arkansas
19. TCU – TCU
20. Boise State – Hawaii
21. Georgia Tech – Georgia Tech
22. Hawaii – Boise State
23. Texas A&M – Texas A&M
24. Tennessee – Tennessee
25. Boston College – Clemson
Michigan and Florida State dropped out of both polls.
In The Coaches Poll, Michigan would be 27 and in the AP, they would be 33rd. It’s notable that Oregon is ranked higher than them in the AP.
Think about this….when was the last time Michigan, FSU and Notre Dame were not ranked?
Something to note – Ohio State actually dropped one spot in the Coaches Poll, but the difference between #8 and #11 is only 18 points. All four of those teams could be juxtaposed and it wouldn’t be a shock.
UPDATE – Oh. My. God. Watch this…..
