The NHL Winter Classic did over a 2.0 overnight rating for NBC. William Houston of the Toronto Globe and Mail has the story.

NBC has to be pleased and I’m sure the NHL will plan for future outdoor games. I do hope there will be more as the first outdoor game in Edmonton did well in 2003 and this one did also.
