David Ortiz is hitless through his first three games, now 0-11 this season. Evan’s new poll prompted me to look at Ortiz’ longest hitless streaks as a member of the Red Sox. Given Papi’s history against Rich Harden, 4-6 with a double, two home runs, and two walks, I expect he may get his first hit of the season this afternoon and make this all a moot point.
