What’s a month between posts, eh?
Anyway, while I was busy living the high flying, jet setting, sweet blogger life style, the Blackhawks won the Cup, ousting the Lightning, (whom I favored) in six games. The Sharks also made some news, none of it involving a fight between teammates or Joe Thornton and Doug Wilson duking it out in 30 rounds.
The Sharks have announced their pre season schedule, which features more Vancouver than you can shake a stick at. That means face punching!
Prospect Scrimmage has been scheduled. Tickets are $5.
The Sharks ECHL affliate won the Kelly Cup, which is pretty cool! GO ALLEN AMERICANS or something.
Sadly, Peter DeBoer said he’s not moving Burns back to forward, which is insanely disappointing. Sure the Sharks desperately need help on the blue line (and have for years), but Burns is way more useful taking passes from Jumbo and scoring goals than he is as a Dman.
Speaking of DeBoer, I have a hard time remembering has name, which is probably not a good sign. You know, that new guy, the one who isn’t Todd? Yeah, um, what’s his name again?
In the BEST NEWS SO FAR THIS SUMMER, the Sharks bought out Adam Burish AND AND AND AND AND will NOT be bringing back Scott Hannan OR John Scott. Suddenly the summer is looking up!
Neimi and Irwin may not be back, and the Sharks supposedly have an interest in Cam Talbot, which means there could be some wheeling and dealing come the draft, though Wilson maintains that he’s keeping the Sharks pick at 9th. Interesting to see his thoughts on Grosenick, though liking a guy doesn’t mean he’s got the job. Also nice to see Nabby will likely be back with the organization in some capacity, though I doubt he’s coming out of retirement to netmind. Sorry to shatter your dreams.
I’ll try to have some draft coverage, however, I am about to move and will no longer have cable. I’ll do what I can to recap it, assuming I find a way to watch it. That’s right, I am willing to bore myself to near death just for you! That’s the kind of not at all regular service we provide here at Couch Tarts.
