This was actually a pretty close vote. I do agree with the consensus. With Bartolo Colon and Curt Schilling due back soon plus the ability of Julian Tavarez to start in a pinch, I don’t think we’ll need to lean on Masterson for the remainder of the year, but he should get an opportunity to start next year.
