The previous trivia question confused a few people it was: Which six pitchers recorded 1,000 or more career strikeouts while pitching for the Red Sox? Tessie’s Dad helped me clarify, rewording it to say: Name all pitchers who recorded the one thousandth strikeout of their careers while pitching for the Red Sox, without any regard for which teams they may have been pitching for for their first 999 Ks?
Anyways, the answers were Pedro Martinez, Roger Clemens, Tim Wakefield, Bruce Hurst, Josh Beckett and… (drum roll, please) Frank Castillo! With an honorary mention of Tom Gordon, who seems to have slipped our consciousness. The Trivia Leaderboard is updated, and I’m making progress on snagging a grand prize.
The new trivia question is During the late ’90s, what did the pro-Red Sox banner under the Citgo sign say? (There is no sign now.)
HONOR CODE: Don’t search for the Citgo sign in any search engine for images. Winner selects the next poll.
