I have a question for the community that I’d like us to discuss in the comments. What should our focus be as the trading deadline approaches? Should it be acquiring a starter? Dumping Coco Crisp? Let’s talk about what we should do, and I’ll cobble together all the suggestions and form an article around potential targets, pieces to move and general concepts.
Don’t forget that just because one of our sections of the team is a strength doesn’t mean we can’t improve it. Remember last year when our bullpen was a strength? What was our move? Eric Gagne. Yeah, it didn’t work out, but just keep in mind that just because we may have a specific strength somewhere (read: starting pitching) doesn’t mean Theo might not want to get another one. Or maybe we should get a shortstop!
