Josh Beckett has been scratched yet again, this time from his slated Friday start against the Chicago White Sox.
He’s being sent to Dr. James Andrews (uh-oh, no Tommy John, please). “I think scary is probably a good word for it,” Beckett told the Boston Globe earlier this week.
Dice-K replaces Beckett Friday and David Pauley will take the hill Saturday. With the constant delaying of Beckett, I have to think the Sox will put him on the DL and call up an additional reliever. It could be Chris Smith, it might not be.
