At least that’s how it stands right now. The Lions have a good chance at finishing the week as the nation’s #3 team.
- – #6 Penn State is humiliating Wisconsin 31-7 right now. Wisky is finished. Three in a row crushes all spirit they have left.
- – #1 Oklahoma lost by 10 points at home today. They should fall below PSU.
- – #2 Bama is idle, will likely be #1
- – #3 Missouri is losing at home, and look to be struggling. Even if they win, a close game deserves to get them leapfrogged by a clearly more-dominant PSU squad.
- – #4 LSU isn’t looking good at all, trailing Florida by 2 TDs
- – #5 Texas actually SHOULD be #1 after cracking the whip on Okie. But in the SEC is teh awesum environment, they’ll likely be 2 or 3.
To add to PSU’s pure joy, their biggest nemesis, Michigan, got embarrassed again at home, this time by a MAC school who isn’t even good in their own conference. Penn State has a chance to break their winless streak against the Wolverines when Michigan is at their lowest low in 4 decades.
And I want Penn State to win against Michigan. Besides the sheer fun of watching UM go to 2-5, I want Penn State unbeaten and in the Top 3 when they arrive in Columbus 2 weeks from today.
