One play. One lousy play

Sorry it took me a few days to get to the blog thing.  Friendship emergencies will be the cause I will state, but I should have found the time to step in anyway.

One play was the difference in our loss Saturday night.  You know which play I refer to.  Terrelle Pryor got stripped of the ball, and we were unable to secure the fumble.  It was a good play for Penn State and we lost because of it.

I feel better about the game knowing that we were one play away from winning the Big Ten, but in the end we will not win our fourth consecutive championship.  That’s OK, because we were relieved of our three-peat by a very very good Penn State team, and they took it from us legitimately.

As for feeling the heartbreak of a game lost because of one play, I’m OK with that too….because you and I both know that Ohio State won their 2002 National Championship with the help of a one-play game.  Without a game in which one play decided the winner, we would not have sniffed the BCS title that year.

They called it “Holy Buckeye”

Good luck, Lions.  Go win out and bring back a championship for the conference.  You’ve earned it so far!
