In 2004, Northwestern shocked Ohio State in overtime, and sent the Buckeyes reeling. we were 3-0 before traveling to NW, and it took us nearly a month to get that fourth win of the season.
They bit us hard and it hurt.
Since then, the Buckeyes have returned the pain in rather harsh manner;
- 2005 – Ohio State 48, Northwestern 7
- 2006 – Ohio State 54, Northwestern 10
- 2007 – Ohio State 58, Northwestern 7
That’s pretty nasty, outscoring your opponent 160-24 in a three year span. 53-8 is a blowout, but doing it as an average for three seasons? Yikes.
Now with Ohio State angry from a loss and well-rested from a bye week, Saturday’s game could get ugly for the Wildcats again.
My call is not another 40-50 point win, but it should be nasty.
