Are you watching this? Cavs up by 33 already….

Last night, I watched the Cleveland Cavaliers dominate the New York Knicks (whose fans seem to think LeBron will be a member of in two years) from start to finish.  Hey, the Knicks suck, so I expected it.  Plus, some nights everything falls your way.

Tonight, I neglected to turn on the Cavs game until late in the first quarter.  I was too late, the game is already over.

Midway through the second quarter now, Cleveland leads OKC 64-31.  I know the Thunder are 1-13 coming in and they have no hope whatsoever….but this is still an NBA franchise and we are already playing our bench players.

As of now, LeBron has only logged 9 minutes on the floor.  And the score sheet looks like this;

  • Szczerbiak – 13 points
  • LeBron – 10 points
  • Ilgauskas – 8 points
  • Mo Willimas – 7 points
  • Hickson – 6 points
  • Varejao – 4 points
  • Gibson – 4 points
  • Delonte West – 4 points
  • Wallace – 3 points
  • Pavlovic – 3 points
  • Jackson – 2 points

ELEVEN players have already scored, and there’s two quarters left to be played.

This team is dominating the teams they should be, and it’s a beautiful sight to behold.  The guys are bonding as a team, and we’re among the 3 elite teams in the league.  After tonight, we’re going to be 12-3 with upcoming games against;

  1. Golden State (5-9)
  2. at Milwaukee (7-9)
  3. New York (7-7)
  4. Indiana (5-8)
  5. at Charlotte (4-9)
  6. Toronto (6-7)
  7. Philadelphia (7-7)
  8. at Philadelphia (7-7)
  9. at Atlanta (8-5)
  10. At Minnesota (3-9)

Our next ten games, and only one opponent is over .500.  We could put some SERIOUS distance between ourselves and second-place Detroit (2.5 games back) in the next few weeks, if we play like this….

I’m liking this team.
