According to the report, an office was traveling eastbound on North Eagleville Road when when a vehicle operated by Andre J. Dixon began to follow too close behind the officer’s vehicle. Dixon was subsequently stopped. With the further investigation the officer suspected Dixon may be intoxicated.
Also, according to the report, Dixon was subjected to a series of standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed. Dixon was subsequently arrested.
He has a court date set for Dec. 15.
I definitely DO NOT CONDONE drunk driving at all but to me this isn’t really a big loss at all. Dixon has had little to no role with the Huskies this season.
It’s sad because he has all the talent in the world and it’s a shame one little mistake could cost him his scholarship at UConn.
