Some Sunday Linkage

I’ll give you some linkage as by the time you read this, I will have already headed out this morning for an uncle’s birthday party. Instead of waiting tonight to give you links, I’ll provide them now.

Today, we’ll start with the New York Post’s Phil Mushnick who asks why can’t more announcers be like Dan Fouts?

Newsday’s Neil Best says the media is addicted to Charles Barkley. I would agree with that, but not with Phil Mushnick who says the media enables his bad behavior. That would be like saying McDonald’s enables my eating.

I have to post this story, it’s too funny to ignore. David Bauder of the Associated Press writes that PBS’ Charlie Rose apparently killed off one of his friends, filmmaker George Butler, who’s very much alive.

And I have to thank Christopher Byrne’s Eye on Sports Media blog which named Fang’s Bites the Best Sports Media News Recap Blog. It’s much appreciated. That picture that’s posted on the page is not the best of me, which is why I usually show myself covered in a ski mask, but that’s ok. I’ll take the accolades and it’s much appreciated. Chris has become a friend over the last year and his blog is a daily stop for me.

That’s going to do it for today. I’ll have quotage from the NFL pregame shows later today.
