With the news that the Colts are the front runners for the Toronto game with Buffalo next year, the schedule may have just gotten that much easier. We’ve already written about how the Colts cross with the AFC East and NFC West next year, with road games at St. Louis and Arizona. Indy was originally slated with 11 dome games (8 home, @AZ, @STL, @HOU) and two games in Florida. However, if the Bills game is played in the Rodgers Center (formerly Sky Dome), it would take the only real potential for a cold weather game and move it inside. The result would be Indy would only have to play two games all year where weather could be an issue (@ Baltimore and @Tennessee).
Wow. Can’t beat that, eh? If you don’t know why that’s such a big deal, just check out the tapes from the three windy games Indy played in 2008. Green Bay, Tennessee, and Cleveland were ugly.
