Here are three college football-themed releases, two of which are from ESPN.
College Gameday will be in Boston on Saturday for the Florida State-Boston College game and to focus on BC linebacker Mark Herzlich who’s battling cancer this season.
College GameDay Live from Florida State at Boston College
This Saturday, Oct. 3, ESPN’s College GameDay at 10 a.m. ET will originate from Chestnut Hill, Ma., site of Florida State at Boston College (3:30 p.m., ABC). College GameDay is hosted by Chris Fowler with analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard.
The show will include a feature on Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich, last year’s ACC Defensive Player of the Year who is out this season battling Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer, a malignant tumor most often found in bone and soft tissue. Herzlich, who will be honored by Boston College during the game, will appear as a guest on the College GameDay set.

Two Showdowns Between Ranked Teams on Saturday Night Football
This week’s college football action will be highlighted by two matchups between ranked teams in a Saturday Night Football split national telecast Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. on ABC: No. 8 Oklahoma at No. 17 Miami and No. 7 USC at No. 24 California.
Additional Oct. 3 highlights:
- At noon, ESPN2 will televise Arkansas State at No. 13 Iowa, with the Hawkeyes coming off a 21-10 upset victory over then-No. 5 Penn State.
- The ESPN Saturday prime-time telecast will feature undefeated Auburn at Tennessee in an SEC showdown at 7:45 p.m. ESPN2 will televise undefeated Texas A&M vs. Arkansas from Cowboys Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
- A split national telecast at 3:30 p.m. on ABC will include Florida State at Boston College in an ACC showdown; UCLA, the only undefeated team in the Pac-10, visiting 3-1 Stanford; and No. 15 Penn State at Illinois.
