Always one of the finer wrapups…

WHAT WE LEARNED SUNDAY . . .

1) The Colts can run the ball. No, the Rams aren’t a dominant team. Far from it. But the Colts rushed for a season-high 156 yards, and there were times the holes were gaping. Brown took advantage of them twice for 58 yards before leaving the game with a shoulder injury. Addai also had a 6-yard touchdown run on which he wasn’t touched. The Colts’ offensive line wanted to improve this area this season, and so far, they’re doing it.

2) The defense is playing at a high level. Again, so much is difficult to judge because the last two opponents are a combined 0-13. But the defense also hasn’t allowed a touchdown in eight quarters and the games never have been close to being out of control. The defense allowed Rams RB Steven Jackson 134 yards rushing, but 101 came in the second half after the game was all but over.
