Moats fumble ruled correctly

Via Kuharksy, the head of officiating reviewed the Moats’ fumble and said it was ruled correctly.

Here’s the key:  it was ruled no fumble on the field.  Had it been ruled to have been out of bounds, there would never have been an over turn.  The part of the ruling that had be indisputable was whether or not it was a fumble.  That was indisputible.  There was definitely, no question a fumble.  At that point, the officials have to determine where it was recovered, even if that part isn’t indisputable.  Not every aspect of the play has to be indisputable, just the part the officials ruled incorrectly.  The best shots of the play seem to show the ball was never touched by a player who was OB until Powers makes contact with the ball at the goal line.

The call was correct.
