WHY THE COLTS CAN WIN . . .
Because their defense is playing at a high level — even with some serious losses. The Colts played LB Tyjuan Hagler, Sanders and Jackson on injured reserve last week, and they earlier this season released starting DT Ed Johnson. CB Kelvin Hayden also is out, but Indianapolis has allowed more than 17 points just once this season. The Colts’ offense has been productive this season — and that unit will need to be better in the red zone than in recent weeks — but the key will be the ability of the Colts’ defensive front pressuring Brady. So far this season, with the exception of a 27-23 victory over Miami in which Indianapolis struggled to stop the Wildcat formation, the Colts’ defense has looked in control each week. If they’re in control Sunday, the offense should produce enough for a victory.
