Mich1gAAn’s got themselves a “spunky” quarterback. Maybe you’ve heard.
However, it sounds like his maturation as a collegiate athlete needs a course in “not letting your mouth write checks that your body (and team) can’t cash”. Case in point, from ESPN’s coverage of their debacle yesterday–
“If I have to spend 10 hours this week watching film, I’m going to do that,” Forcier said. “We’re going to get the seniors to a bowl game. We’re going to come out and do what we need to do to beat Ohio State.“
Wow. 10 hours, huh? How will you ever have time to actually accomplish all the practicing that you guys do each week?
Seems as if the young’un also hasn’t had any interactions with alumni, particularly the last undersized loudmouth who “guaranteed” a victory in The Game.
Of course, given that most of the victories in Ann Arbor these days are of the “moral” variety, perhaps Tate will consider it a “win” if he’s still ambulatory at the end of the game.
Not that that’s a likelihood, either.
Of course, I could be reading this wrong. It could be that he’s planning on watching an informational video on how to make money in real estate, and then use the profits to buy tickets to the bowl game over in Detroit.
I’m sure the seniors would appreciate that- it’d still be better than the game they went to last year.
