When going for the victory, try something more exciting that a three-yard completion to Kevin Faulk. Why not isolate on Moss? Allow Randy to make a double move and chuck it 10, 15 yards down the field, allowing him to run away from his defender. Or a quick slant or a crossing pattern to Wes Welker. My money says that Welker doesn’t juggle it.
If you’re going to go for broke, go for it! Do the unexpected. Heck, the third-down pass by Brady, one that was almost intercepted by rookie Jerraud Powers, was another too-safe attempt.
Nothing against Kevin Faulk, but Brady should have been throwing to Welker or Moss, who combined for 18 receptions and 273 yards last night.
