I met John here in B.A. this weekend. Great guy, fun site. I reccomend starting at his stadium rankings.
4. Great American Ball Park (Cincinnati Reds). I am sure that many readers think I have this park ranked way too high. There’s one element that gets this park where it is – the exceptional concourses – open, and wide. These set the benchmark for any stadium which follows (attention: Cardinals). The park itself does not have quite the charm that PNC has. One reason is the red seats. They’re red for an obvious reason, but red doesn’t scream “classic” the way dark green or dark blue do. One nice touch is a break in the upper deck stands to allow sightlines from downtown Cincinnati to the Ohio River – only one of several examples of how well the ballpark blends into downtown Cincinnati. The views over the Ohio River to Newport and Covington Kentucky are nice, but not of the level of the views from PNC or AT&T. The park is the only park in which you can park your car in a different state and walk to the game (you can commute from other states to the New York City ballparks, but it would be a long walk).
