The NFL says Indy just needs to beat the Broncos to secure the #1 seed
The National Football League crunched numbers on possible tiebreaker scenarios and informed the Indianapolis Colts today that a home victory Sunday against Denver would secure the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.
The Colts (12-0) have a three-game cushion on San Diego and Cincinnati, but Indy has the edge on both based on a common opponents tiebreaker. So a win against the Broncos (8-4), which would also be a league-record 22nd consecutive regular-season triumph, is all that matters at the moment.
