Clint Session Brings the Pain

He’s been huge

In October, the Colts met the Tennessee Titans in Nashville. In the first quarter, Session met Titans running back Chris Johnson at the Tennessee 25-yard line. Johnson’s attempt at converting a second-and-3 was stopped, abruptly, 2 yards short.

“That was a pretty good one,” Session said. “After that hit, we didn’t hear from him no more.”

Johnson, the league’s leading rusher, finished the game with a season-low 34 yards on nine carries.

A hit delivered to Jacksonville running back Maurice Jones-Drew in the season opener ranks near the top of Session’s list. Jones-Drew found room for 13 yards with a screen pass, then ran into Session.

“He had somebody behind him so he didn’t fall like he should have,” Session said. “But that was a pretty good stick.”
