“I do believe Peyton Manning is doing more than I’m doing or things I haven’t thought of doing before,” Garrard said. “It’s allowing him to be the player he is. I really believe when you are labeled the hardest-working guy in the film room, there’s some truth to that. That’s an area I can do better at myself. I’ve got the physical gifts. That’s not the issue. The issue is knowing what the defense is going to do.”
Garrard said he’s already spending more time in the film room. Garrard also had no problem with Weaver’s comments about Manning.
“When you’ve got the best in the league and maybe the best of all time [to be compared to], those are definitely compliments. That’s not a low blow or anything,” Garrard said.
