MLB Network’s Studio 42 with Bob Costas also garnered a nomination in the category of Outstanding Studio Show – Weekly.Al Leiter earned a Sports Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Analyst category. Thursday Night Baseball analyst Jim Kaat, a seven-time New York Sports Emmy Award winner, earned a nomination for Outstanding Sports Personality – Sports Event Analyst.MLB Network also received two nominations for The George Wensel Technical Achievement Award for Ballpark Cam and Enhanced Digital Recreation/Reenactment. Ballpark Cam is a series of robotic cameras placed throughout ballparks across the league and controlled by operators at MLB Network in Secaucus. The Enhanced Digital Recreation/Reenactment was a series of vignettes produced by MLB Network that interspersed real footage of classic moments in baseball history with reenactments shot to compliment the existing footage.“We are very proud of the quality of MLB Network’s first year and it is enormously gratifying to
