CBS Announces 2010 SEC Football Schedule

It’s official. CBS has its schedule for the 2010 college football season. Some games have been announced. Others will be unveiled less than two weeks before the air date. Without further ado, here’s your schedule.

CBS SPORTS’ 2010 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SCHEDULE OFFERS BEST OF SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE EACH WEEK
CBS Sports’ Weekly Selection of SEC Football “Game of the Week” Begins September 18 with Broadcast of Florida-Tennessee
CBS Sports kick offs its 10th consecutive season of national coverage of Southeastern Conference Football on Saturday, Sept. 18 (3:30-7:00 PM, ET) with its broadcast of Florida at Tennessee.
In its second year of a 15-year agreement with the SEC, CBS Sports continues to be the exclusive national network broadcaster of SEC home football games, including the SEC Championship Game. In showcasing the top conference match-ups in the package, CBS Sports will have the first selection each week and will broadcast the “SEC Game of the Week.”
            THE SEC ON CBS schedule features a total of 15 games during the network’s 12-week season, including the SEC Championship on Saturday, Dec. 4.  In addition to the SEC, CBS Sports will broadcast Notre Dame vs. Navy on Saturday, Oct. 23, the annual Army-Navy game on Saturday, Dec. 11 and the 76th Sun Bowl on Friday, Dec. 31.
Highlights of 2010 schedule include:
Sept. 18 – Florida at Tennessee, 3:30 PM, ET
Oct. 2 – SEC DOUBLEHEADER – Prime Time, 3:30 PM, ET/8:00 PM, ET
Oct. 23 – Notre Dame vs. Navy, 12:00 NOON, ET       
Oct. 30 – Georgia vs. Florida, 3:30 PM, ET
Nov. 13 – SEC Doubleheader, 12:00 NOON, ET/3:30 PM, ET
Dec. 4 – SEC Championship, 4:00 PM, ET
Dec. 11- Army vs. Navy, 2:30 PM, ET
Dec. 31 (Fri.) – Sun Bowl. 2:00 PM, ET
All other “SEC Games of the Week” will be announced six-to-12 days prior to their broadcast date.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY, the Network’s pre-game, halftime and post-game studio show,
will be broadcast in the half-hour format 11 times throughout the season, premiering on Saturday, Sept. 18 (3:00-3:30 PM, ET).  Hosted by Tim BrandoSpencer Tillman, Tony Barnhart and Archie Manning, COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY presents highlights of all the day’s action.
