In the wake of Argentina’s 4-1 win today, let me just point out that South America is now 5-0-2 in the World Cup finals, with the only ties coming as second-tier South American powers like Paraguay and Uruguay earned draws with European and World Cup stalwarts Italy and France. Argentina is virtually assured of going through to the next round (and it will be a mathematical certainty if Nigeria wins or ties over Greece).
I’m not saying, I’m just saying. South Americans are beasts. Just look at them. If you aren’t scared of this crew, you aren’t scared of anything. That number 9 has a mean header.
