Shannon Shelton, of Free Press, wrote a story covering Blair White’s journey from walk-on at Michigan State to undrafted rookie trying to make a talent-full Colts’ wide receiver roster. Blair discusses how he has learned from his past experiences and comments on how having former teammates Brett Swenson and Trevor Anderson going through the process with him makes it a bit easier. “It’s a similar situation to being a walk-on in college,” he said. “It’s about coming in here, keeping my mouth shut, working hard and hoping it works out.”
“It was exciting to see how the pros do it,” White said. “I just tried to focus on learning the plays. That’s the biggest learning curve moving up to the pros. When you line up with Peyton Manning, you hear one thing in the huddle, but he can change it to anything.”
White continues to be one of the most intriguing players heading into training camp. He certainly has the right attitude, the experience to know how to handle the situation he is about to face, and appears to be the kind of perfectionist that would mesh well with Peyton Manning and the Colts demanding offense.
