MLB Network Airs Red Sox-Yankees On Monday & Twins-White Sox On Tuesday

MLB Network continues to pick up games on days where the national TV partners can’t. We have the games it’ll pick up starting from Monday through Saturday. Lots of good games too. Note on Thursday that Sports Illustrated’s Tom Verducci will be in the analyst’s chair with Bob Costas for the Dodgers-Phillies game.

Secaucus, N.J., August 5, 2010 In a matchup of two teams battling for first place in the AL Central, the Chicago White Sox host the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, August 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET, part of MLB Network’s live game schedule for August 9–14. The White Sox currently lead the AL Central by 1 ½ games over the Twins. Viewers in select markets will see a showdown between the New York Yankees, who are tied for first place in the AL East with the Tampa Bay Rays, against the AL West first-place Texas Rangers at 8:00 p.m. ET live from Rangers Ballpark.
MLB Network’s Thursday Night Baseball features an NL matchup between the Philadelphia Phillies, who have won 11 of their last 13 games, and the Los Angeles Dodgers on August 12 at 7:00 p.m. ET. MLB Network’s Bob Costas and Tom Verducci will call the game live from Citizens Bank Park, marking the first time Verducci will provide color analysis in the broadcast booth during a game telecast. Viewers in the Phillies and Dodgers markets will see the White Sox face the Twins at 8:00 p.m. ET live from Chicago’s U.S. Cellular Field.  
On Monday, August 9 the Yankees host their division rival Boston Red Sox during the last game of a four-game series on MLB Matinee at 2:00 p.m. ET. The Colorado Rockies, who have won five of their last six games, visit the New York Mets during MLB Matinee on Thursday, August 12, at 12:00 p.m. ET, which is scheduled to be available on MLB Network in the Rockies’ home television territory. The Dodgers visit the Atlanta Braves in the first of a four-game series on Friday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Viewers in select markets will see the Rangers host the Red Sox at 8:00 p.m. ET. Rounding out the week, the Rangers will once again take on the Red Sox on Saturday, August 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Viewers in the Rangers and Red Sox markets will see the Milwaukee Brewers at Rockies at 8:00 p.m. ET.
MLB Tonight, MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning signature nightly studio show with look-ins at live games, will air live at 6:00 p.m. ET on August 9, 10 and 13 as well as after MLB Matinee on August 12. MLB Tonight, will also air on Wednesday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m. ET and on Sunday, August 15 at 5:00 p.m. ET, followed by Quick Pitch at 8:00 p.m. ET.
