“Earlier today, Colts center Jeff Saturday underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery at Methodist Sports Medicine to remove a loose body. Saturday will immediately embark on rehabilitation upon returning to camp.” Colts’ statement regarding Saturday
The usually dependable center has missed only six games since he took over the position in 2000. If he misses pre-season games, I’m not too worried as it would give Mike Pollak and newcomer Adrian Martinez an opportunity to work with Manning. If he misses regular season games, that’s a totally different story. But I’m calm for now.
And I guess this explains why we haven’t seen Jeff at practice recently.
~ UPDATE ~
Mike Chappel of IndyStar.com reports that Saturday will be out 2-6 weeks.
