GAME NOTES: 2008 ALCS Game Six. Victory may seem unlikely, but the Red Sox have not
claimed a championship title in the last ninety years without first
digging themselves a 1-3 (or worse) hole in the ALCS, and then climbing
out of it on their way to a World Series sweep. We should be used to
this. Still, there are so many questions: Have the Sox turned the
corner on their offensive woes? Can our hitters give Game 2 punching
bag Josh Beckett a shot at redemption? Can we get to Game 7 and put
Lester on the hill? Is it too much to ask for the Red Sox to win ALCS
Games 5, 6 & 7 yet again? We find out tonight: win, or go
home. Believe. –Tessie’s Dad
