Since I seem to be the go-to guy for all things wardrobe related (no malfunctions, thanks be to God), here’s the latest news on the Nike Pro-Combat front.
The “big doin’s” is tomorrow in New York, but from what the Miami website posted we discovered the following:
• Ohio State: Stylized script numbers, a replica U.S. flag on the jersey sleeve and the camouflage-print base layer honor the WWII-bound Buckeyes, National Champions of 1942.
Here’s the “official” website for the unveiling; tBBC is working on exclusive coverage of this event.
If it’s a 1942 model, then it might look like this:
Of course, last year’s ended up being a “theme” rather than a throwback, so who knows. Perhaps this will also be just an homage as well. Not really sure what that “camo” thing will be about, but since it’s on the base layer (undershirt), I’m not too concerned.
Virginia Tech’s jerseys have been out on the web for a while, and we’re seeing Boise State and TCU stuff as well- over at football fanatics you can find this year’s rivalry t-shirts already on sale.
Our friends at 11W are stating that they’ll have photos of the uniforms up later tonight, and we’ll continue to update you as this develops.
Anything to keep us from going crazy until game time, right?
UPDATE: 11W for the win–
