DEFENSIVE END (4): Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Keyunta Dawson, Jerry Hughes. The Colts’ front-line players at this position are as good as there are in the NFL. Freeney has made five Pro Bowl appearances and Mathis has made two, with each player appearing in the last two. They are big-time, game-changing pass rushers and they have shown no signs of a drop in effectiveness. Depth at the spot remains an issue, with Hughes – the team’s first-round selection in the NFL Draft – not expected to make a major contribution as a pass rusher early in the season.
