The television clearance list for the UConn Huskies football game was posted on Thursday evening and I thought I would do a little investigating. As we all know, SNY is not available on Charter-Northeastern which serves the UConn campus and the surrounding area.
While doing some research on the clearance stations for the game, I noticed that WCVB in Boston (Charter channel 5) was one of the television stations broadcasting the game on Saturday. Knowing that my parents lakehouse has Charter-Northeastern for it’s cable provider, I placed a call to my father.
I had him bring up the guide on the television and go to Saturday at noon on Channel 5. And low and behold, what do you think it said. Well it said, Buffalo at UConn at 12 p.m.
So the good news for the Charter-Northeastern UConn football fans and customers that get WCVB in Boston, you’ll be able to watch the Huskies take on Buffalo. The bad news is that it’s not available in HD. And the other bad news is that you don’t get the pre-game and post-game shows.
But at least you’ll be able to watch the game and that’s what really matters.
