Though Josh Katzowitz’s story does not state that Albert Haynesworth will definitely not play, Jay Glazer suggests via Twitter that there is a greater chance that he will be deactivated for the game than that he will take the field.  Obviously, this would be a bit of a blow to the Redskins defense.  Haynesworth is still recovering mentally and physically after his brother’s tragic death in a motorcycle accident just over a week ago, which led to him sitting out of the Redskins game against the Green Bay Packers last Sunday.

This is a difficult story to report and our thoughts go out to Haynesworth and his family as they deal with this tragedy.  The Washington coaching staff will monitor his physical conditioning and mental state as the game approaches before they make a final decision.
