The weekly Big East Coaches teleconference happened earlier today and there wasn’t anything really exciting that came from UConn Huskies head coach Randy Edsall.
Edsall was asked by Zac Boyer of the Hartford Courant about the current injuries and any that may have popped up from last week’s practices. The jist of Edsall’s response was that the injury report comes out on Thursday.
Edsall also stated that he talked to Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano and passed on thoughts and prayers from UConn’s staff and players for Rutgers DT Eric LeGrand who was paralyzed from the neck down after making a hit Saturday in Rutgers win over Army.
“We’re all in the same conference and we compete hard against each other but we all have a tremendous amount of respect for guys in this league. It’s like they’re our brothers.”
