The Colts defense had five takeaways and permitted only 30 yards on 19 rushes, a 1.6 average. The Bengals’ other 42 rushing yards came on a fake punt.
“Everybody here is capable and everybody is prepared, so I thought we did a good job,” Angerer said. “We won, that’s all that matters. We’ll see on the tape. I’m sure we made our mistakes; I know I made a bunch of mistakes, but we got the win.”
Coach Jim Caldwell said the linebackers played “extremely hard” and “extremely well.”
