The Colts have been pass-happy since Manning’s arrival in 1998, but never more than this year. They’re throwing a league-high 65.7 percent of the time.
The Jaguars are a run-early, run-often bunch. They rank No. 2 in the league in rushing (157.8 yards per game) and run 52 percent of the time. Only the Kansas City Chiefs (53 percent) are more committed to the ground game.
“I think you just do the best you can with the team you have, trying to maximize its potential,” Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said. “I think that’s what us coaches go after.”
