Injured Colts tutor their replacements

Throughout their rookie seasons, wide receiver Blair White and running back Javarris James turned to injured veterans, too. White leaned on Austin Collie or Anthony Gonzalez. James counted on Joseph Addai.

It’s individual choice for injured players to be on the sideline or stay away. Some don’t want to be a distraction or it hurts too much to not play. Others are compelled to stay close to their teammates and be available during games for advice.

“It kind of shows the type person you are and the character you have,” Addai said.
