Frank Epitropoulos is a Buckeye!

Frank Epitropoulos is a Buckeye!
Frank Epitropoulos, your newest Buckeye.

Local athlete and Buckeye legacy Frank Epitropoulos became the sixth member of Ohio State’s 2012 recruiting class today.

Epitropoulos is a standout wide receiver and punter at Upper Arlington High School in Columbus.

While he isn’t as flashy as some of the other national prospects Ohio State is targeting, he has all of the attributes that you look for in a receiver (height, speed, hands, route running, concentration in traffic).

On top of catching the football, Epitropoulos is also an outstanding punter. He regularly booms the ball 40+ yards with great hang time.

If WR doesn’t work out for him, he almost certainly has a future kicking the ball in Columbus. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him handling both duties during his time in the scarlet and gray.

Frank is the son of former Buckeye John Epitropoulos, who lettered for Woody Hayes and Earl Bruce from ’78 to ’80. Frank’s Buckeye roots and pedigree on the football field are strong, so here’s hoping for big things in his future at Ohio State.

Highlights after the jump.

Welcome to Buckeye Nation, Frank!
