According the to the press release below, the UConn Huskies football team will open up their 2011 season against the Fordham Rams at 7:30 p.m. on September 1st. We had already known the date and the opponent but not the time. There is still is no television announcement.
Also contained in the release is information about the “Top of the Rent” season tickets.

STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut is once again offering its popular “Top of the Rent” discounted football season tickets for the 2011 season. The price for this package is $140 for the seven-game season ticket – just $20 per game – for a savings of 33% off the regular price.
“Top of the Rent” seats are located in the upper rows of select upper reserved sections at Rentschler Field. “Top of the Rent” is a great, affordable way for fans to enjoy the entire 2011 UConn home schedule.

The UConn football season opens on Thursday, Sept. 1 when it takes on Fordham. The kickoff time for that game has now been finalized and will start at 7:30 p.m. Television coverage, if any, is still to be announced.
