Raptors’ Barbosa would love to play with Spurs’ Parker

San Antonio Spurs all-star guard has been rumored to be traded to the Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers and the Toronto Raptors in the span of two days. And for Raptors’ guard Leandro Barbosa, playing with Parker in Toronto would be great:

Barbosa, who believes the Raptors talked with the Spurs, didn’t end up meeting Parker, but planned to have dinner with him on Wednesday.

“I told him [via text message], ‘Are you going to play with me?’ ” Barbosa said. “He said, ‘Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.’

“I would love to play with him. You never know what can happen in the NBA. I guess we got to wait and see what’s up.”

Tonight is the 2011 NBA Draft and Spurs fans will be keeping an eye out for any trade involving Parker. Most trade rumors surrounding Parker involve the Spurs moving up in the draft. However, Spurs GM R.C. Buford voiced the Spurs are not shopping anyone.

Let’s hope Parker will still be wearing black and silver and not white and red after tonight.
