PRUDENTIAL CENTER, NEW JERSEY – With the rumored trade between the San Antonio Spurs and Indiana Pacers involving George Hill and Kwahi Leonard, Leonard spoke to on the possible move to San Antonio.
“I had a meeting with them and I got a great vibe from them so just any team I’m on, I’m happy with right now. I’m just going in and trying to do whatever the coach wants me to do to make the team successful.”
Should Hill be traded to the Pacers, this will send Hill back to his home state but will leave a hole at backup point guard for San Antonio.
Leonard doesn’t seem to fit in the Spurs’ system especially seeing how his outside shot is suspect. Regardless, Leonard is athletic something the Spurs need at the small forward position.
Still, this is the Spurs working the NBA Draft and with their positive draft history, they must see something in Leonard to give up Hill.
Stay tuned to Project Spurs as more news develops on this rumored trade.
