Though there currently isn’t any basketball occurring state side, San Antonio Spurs 2009 draftee Nando De Colo continues to shine with Spanish club Valencia.
On Sunday De Colo led Valencia to a 72-65 victory over Unicaja as he scored 22 points and grabbed five rebounds in 29 minutes of action.
What was more impressive were De Colo’s shooting numbers as he shot 7-of-8 from two-point range and 2-of-4 from three point range.
As De Colo continues to play in the Spanish league this will be his chance to continue to improve so that this coming summer, his play might earn him a phone call to make the trek on down to San Antonio or join the Spurs’ summer league team.
But then again, that’s if the lockouts even over by the summer. Gulp.
