San Antonio Spurs forward and the Executive VP of the NBAPA, Matt Bonner, spoke with Canada’s TSN 1050 on the latest with the NBA lockout.
Bonner made it clear the players are willing to deal with the owners but the last offer given from the owners, it just simply wasn’t acceptable because it still didn’t address the player’s concerns, that it would create a hard-cap, didn’t help the middle-class players and more. He also said it has nothing to do with greed.
Bonner also commented on Michael Jordan and feels MJ is simply looking out for his best interests just like he did when he was a player.
In the end, Bonner says the fight is just about preserving the system the player’s have enjoyed for years.
Take a listen to what Matt had to say on the lockout.
