  • Kevin Martin really likes to play against the Spurs. Martin has notched 24-plus points in five of his last seven games against the Spurs.
  • Tim Duncan usually dominates the Rockets. Duncan owns 35 career points-rebounds double-doubles against the Rockets.
  • Pumping in the points. Since the 2007-2008 NBA season, Houston has upped their scoring per game average. In 2007-2008 the Rockets averaged 96.7 points, in 2008-2009 it was 98.4 points, 2009-2010 it was 102.4 and in 2010-2011 it was 105.9 points.
  • This current Houston team is very inexperienced. Houston’s opening night roster featured an average NBA experience of less than three seasons (2.87 seasons).
  • Almost an even match. The Spurs hold a 7-5 record versus the Rockets in their last 12 meetings.
