Despite the continued stiff competition from The Ultimate Fighter: Live plus the NCAA basketball tournament, Bellator posted their best TV ratings of their sixth season last week. Last Friday’s Bellator LXII, which featured this Fight of the Year worthy scrap, got 175,000 viewers on average. While this season’s average of 151,000 viewers is the worst yet for the organization on MTV2, at least last week’s event improved greatly on the 108,000 viewers who tuned in for Bellator LXI (especially when you consider the stiff sporting event competition it was up against last week). With something amazing seemingly happening every week in Bellator, hopefully the buzz surrounding the organization will help the ratings continue to rise.
