The San Antonio Spurs (47-16) will play their final home game of the regular season against the Portland Trail Blazers (28-36) tonight at the AT&T Center. And while it is the final home game for the Spurs, should the Spurs win, they will secure the best record in the Western Conference.

As for the game tonight, the Spurs and Blazers have split their two meetings this season with each winning on their home court. In their last meeting, the Spurs beat the Blazers 99-83 in San Antonio.

For a complete preview of tonight’s game, be sure to check out Project Spurs’ Paul Garcia’s scouting report but here are five things to watch for in tonight’s game.

  • Blazers’ Wesley Matthews is a thief. Matthews ranks fourth in the NBA in steals per turnover ratio with 91 steals to 72 turnovers.
  • Felton can definitely find the open man. Raymond Felton has led the Blazers in assists 45 times this season.
  • Spurs should make sure to not let Babbitt get hot from the three-point line. Luke Babbitt leads the Blazers in three-point field-goal percentage with 45.6%.
  • Portland really doesn’t let San Antonio reach the century mark. The Blazers have held the Spurs to under 100 points for 14 consecutive games.
  • Watch out for Hickson. J.J. Hickson is the only Blazer this season to record a double-double in four straight games.
